Michael Abbas has extensive work experience in the engineering field. Michael began their career in 1984 as a Machinist Mate in the United States Navy. After that, they worked as a Surveyor at Williams Brothers Engineering, where they handled various survey projects related to pipelines and buried communication lines. In 1994, they joined Gose & Associates as a Staff Surveyor and Project Engineer, where they were responsible for a range of surveying and engineering tasks. In 1996, they became a Sr. Structural Engineer at Mustang Engineering, where they focused on offshore structure design for projects globally. Following that, they worked as the General Manager for Trinidad Operations at Amec Foster Wheeler, responsible for managing a business unit and leading engineering design projects in the petrochemical sector. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Engineering at M&H, which they started in 2015.
Michael Abbas earned their Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Civil Engineering from Oklahoma State University. Michael completed their education at the university between 1991 and 1996. In addition to their academic degrees, Michael obtained the Duolingo Spanish Fluency: Beginner (Estimated) certification from Duolingo in February 2016.
