Michael Spencer

Michael Spencer is a Tax Partner at MHA, where they have been since the firm's 2024 merger with MHA Moore and Smalley, providing expert tax advice to entrepreneurial businesses across the UK. Previously, they served as a Director of Tax at Grant Thornton UK LLP from 2014 to 2023 and as a Tax Advisor at EY from 2011 to 2014. Michael earned a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and became a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) from the University of Birmingham and the Chartered Institute of Taxation, respectively, while they are currently pursuing certification as a Chartered Accountant (CA) through ICAS. Their work focuses on aiding businesses in the Liverpool City Region and beyond to achieve growth and manage tax risks effectively.
