Matthew Romo is a Clinical-Epidemiologic Investigator at the U.S. Military HIV Research Program since August 2022. Previously, Matthew served as a Research Scientist/Investigator at The CUNY Institute for Implementation Science in Population Health from October 2020 to July 2022 and as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy from January 2018 to May 2022. Matthew has experience as a Consultant for the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene between February 2015 and June 2021, and as an Assistant Lecturer at the School of Public Health, The University of Hong Kong, from October 2018 to October 2020. Prior roles include Research Scientist at The CUNY Institute for Implementation Science in Population Health, Research Associate at Universidad de Cuenca, and Pharmacist Scientific Director in Medical Communications from June 2011 to June 2015. Matthew Romo holds a PhD in Epidemiology from the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy, an MPH in Epidemiology & Biostatistics from Hunter College, and a PharmD from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
