Mr. Baxter is a Managing Director and the Head of Investor Relations of Cowen Investment Management as well as a senior attorney in the legal department. Mr. Baxter joined the firm (then Ramius LLC) in November 2014. Previously, Mr. Baxter was an Associate in the Investment Management Group at Ropes & Gray LLP, where he represented hedge fund and private equity fund managers and institutional investors on a broad range of issues, including the structuring of investment funds, development of management company structures, implementation of compensation arrangements, and negotiation of trading agreements.
Mr. Baxter graduated with a B.A., summa cum laude, in Political Communication from the George Washington University and a J.D. from the New York University School of Law. Mr. Baxter is admitted to the bar in New York and Massachusetts
