Lawanda Wright has extensive experience in economic development and small business support within Miami-Dade County. Currently serving as a member of the Economic Development Action Committee at the Miami-Dade Economic Advocacy Trust since November 2018 and as the SBD Section Chief for Miami-Dade County Small Business Development since May 2018, Lawanda has a strong focus on assisting small businesses through financial and technical aid. As Chairman of the Executive Board at the Pace Center for Girls Miami since July 2017, Lawanda plays a pivotal role in guiding organizational direction. Additionally, Lawanda has held various positions related to technical assistance, including Technical Assistance Coordinator and Lead Technical Assistance Coordinator for significant events. Previous entrepreneurial experience includes owning The Right Business Connection LLC, specializing in event coordination. Lawanda holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems from Barry University.
