James Mesbur serves as the VP of Product (Conversational AI) at Mico, where efforts are focused on establishing a premier Conversational AI organization aligned with the company's vision to become Asia's #1 Brand Empowerment company by 2030. Previously, James held various leadership roles at Rakuten, including General Manager, where a global team was led to deliver innovative Conversational AI solutions, significantly increasing revenue and customer acquisition. Additional experience includes serving as Director of AI Solutions at Verint, managing diverse teams to develop AI contact center technologies, and roles at Synchronoss Technologies, SpeechCycle Inc., and Nuance Communications, building expertise in voice interaction and speech science. Academically, James holds a PhD (ABD) in Linguistics from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA with First Class Honours and Distinction from McGill University.
