Charles Li has extensive experience in the financial sector, having served as Chairman for J.P. Morgan in China from 2003 to 2009 and as Chief Executive of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) from 2010 to 2020. Charles is currently a member of the Board of Directors at MarketAxess and the Founder & Chairman of Micro Connect | 滴灌通, both roles established in 2021. Prior to his time at J.P. Morgan, Charles Li was the President of Merrill Lynch in China from 1999 to 2003. Charles Li holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Xiamen University, a Master of Arts in Journalism from The University of Alabama, and a Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School.
