Simon Sharon

Simon Sharon is the current Chief Technical Officer at Microbot Medical. Prior to their current position, Simon served as the Chief Operating Officer at Microbot Medical from March 2013 to October 2016. Before their time at Microbot Medical, Simon was a Vice President of Research and Development at IceCure Medical from July 2008 to February 2013. In this role, they were responsible for the development of a cryogenic ablation system for treatment of breast fibroadenoma and uterine fibroids. Additionally, they managed an R&D team of 9 engineers and was responsible for all technical aspects related to submissions to the FDA and CE mark, system and process qualifications, building of prototypes, training of surgeons, and participation in clinical trials and surgeries. From July 2001 to July 2008, Simon served as the General Manager and Vice President of Research and Development at Anorad Israel.

Simon Sharon has a Master's in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an MBA from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.

They are on a team with David Ben Naim - CFO, Kety Bardugo - QA Manager, and Eran Cohen - Director of Business Development. Simon Sharon reports to Harel Gadot, Co-Founder, Chairman & CEO .
