Andy Bottomley has extensive experience in RF IC design and systems, currently serving as the RF IC Project Lead & RF IC Systems Design at Microchip Technology Inc. since June 2018, where leadership is provided to a design team focused on RF ICs for medical implants and hearing aids. Prior to this role, Andy worked as an RF IC Systems Designer at Microsemi from January 2001 to May 2018, contributing to the specification of CMOS ULP RF transceivers and participating in market analysis. Earlier career experiences include serving as an Evangelist for Saltmine Trust (1999-2000) and working in Analog IC Design at both GEC Plessey Semiconductors and Mitel from 1990 to 1999. Andy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Plymouth.
