Andy Kovats

Andy Kovats has extensive experience in the field of Integrated Circuit (IC) package development, currently serving as Sr. Manager at Microchip Technology Inc. since April 2016. Prior to this role, Andy held a similar position at Atmel Corporation from July 1989 to April 2016, overseeing new IC package development and managing qualifications for various package types, including WLCSP, advanced BGA, and QFN's, with a growing focus on System in Package (SiP) technologies. Earlier in Andy's career, a role as Quality Engineer at Honeywell SSED provided support to the Incoming Quality Department, including the development of procedures and training on QA lab equipment. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Applied Statistics from the University of Northern Colorado and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Technology from Colorado State University.
