Bogdan Popescu

Bogdan Popescu is an experienced PCB Layout and Applications Engineer with a strong background in hardware design and development. Currently serving as a HW Team Leader at Microchip Technology since September 2010, Bogdan specializes in mixed signal applications and reference designs, utilizing Altium Designer for schematic and PCB design of evaluation boards and demonstrations. Prior to this role, Bogdan worked as a PCB Layout Designer at Design Solutions from May 2008 to August 2010, focusing on complex multilayer PCB designs using Mentor Graphics software. Earlier experience includes working as a CAM Technician at FELA Romania Technology SRL, where responsibilities included Gerber post-processing and CNC machine programming. Bogdan holds an Inginer degree in Electronics and Industrial Informatics from the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, obtained between 2003 and 2008.
