Brian McCarson

Brian McCarson currently serves as the Corporate Vice President and General Manager of the Data Center Solutions Business Unit at Microchip Technology Inc. since February 2025. Prior to this role, Brian held the positions of CTO, CISO, and Executive Vice President at Packsize from September 2023 to February 2025. Brian's extensive experience at Intel Corporation spanned nearly a decade, where responsibilities included Vice President and General Manager of the NUC Group and Vice President of the Internet of Things Group. Additionally, Brian served as the CTO of IoT Strategy within the Internet of Things Group. Academic contributions include a faculty position at the Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering at Arizona State University from August 2013 to May 2019 and earlier engineering work at Motorola Mobility. Brian holds a Master of Science in Materials Science and Engineering and Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Science from New Mexico State University.
