Dan Vasaru is a Staff Software Engineer at Microchip Technology Inc. since October 2016, following the acquisition of Atmel, where Dan served as a Senior Staff Software Developer since October 2009 and was involved in the development of Atmel Studio, the IDE debugger for Atmel microcontrollers. Prior to this, Dan worked as a contractor at Schlumberger from 2004 to July 2009, contributing to a client-server solution for processing large bulk data. Additional contracting roles at VoxelVision AS, Clustra, and Dynamic Imaging involved developing various visualization modules, porting database components to Windows, and supervising module development. Dan holds a siv.ing. degree in Computer Science from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), obtained between 1991 and 1995.
