Jim O'Brien

Jim O'Brien has extensive experience in sales management within the technology sector, holding key positions at several prominent companies. O'Brien served as Sr. Director of Western US Sales and Apple WW at Atmel Corporation from March 2012 until July 2017, following a tenure as Director of Worldwide Sales at Xilinx and PMC-Sierra, specifically for Cisco Systems. Current responsibilities include Head of Sales for the Western U.S at Microchip Technology Inc., a position held since July 2017. O'Brien's earlier career includes roles at Texas Instruments, Wyle Electronics, Blue Coat Systems, and Quantum, where O'Brien managed accounts and sales operations related to major clients like Apple Computer and NEC Japan. O'Brien holds a BA in Business Marketing from California State University, Fresno, attended from 1983 to 1988, and was involved in varsity baseball as a pitcher during that time.
