Joe Thomsen has extensive experience in the technology sector, particularly in roles related to product development and management. Since October 1994, Joe has held various leadership positions at Microchip Technology, including Vice President and Director of Product Development, with a focus on 16-bit microcontrollers. Prior to joining Microchip, Joe worked at VLSI Technology for seven years, where responsibilities included Design Engineer and Design Engineering Manager, and also spent time at Motorola as a Design Engineer. Joe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University, obtained from 1980 to 1984.
