Patrick McFarland is a Senior Applications Engineer at Microchip, specializing in machine learning, electrical engineering, and embedded development. Previously, they served as a Global Innovation Fellow at the U.S. Department of State and contributed to epilepsy research as an Epilepsy Research Scientist at EpiFinder, Inc. They co-founded Korwave, an AI-powered wearable aimed at diagnosing traumatic brain injuries and epilepsy, and have developed several advanced machine learning models achieving high diagnostic accuracy. McFarland holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Arizona State University.
