Rusty Colbert

Rusty Colbert is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in firmware and software development. Currently serving as Sr. Engineer II-Firmware at Microchip Technology Inc. since August 2021, Rusty previously held roles at Microsemi Corporation as a Firmware Engineer and was self-employed as a Software Engineer since June 2018. At Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Rusty contributed significantly as a Master Technologist, designing the HPE Myriagon Memory test which enhanced test efficiency and coverage. Rusty's career at HP spanned from 1987 to 2005, where responsibilities included implementing diagnostics for Tandem Fault Tolerant Unix Servers and debugging CPU board components. Rusty holds an Associate's degree in Computer Technology from ITT Technical Institute-Houston North.
