Stefan Petzold

Stefan Petzold is a seasoned professional in the field of embedded solutions and security, currently serving as a Security Function Group Expert at Microchip Technology Inc. since March 2018. In addition to this role, Stefan leads the European Embedded Software Team and has held positions as a Principal and Senior Embedded Solutions Engineer. Prior to joining Microchip Technology Inc., Stefan gained extensive experience at Vorwerk Gruppe from April 2009 to February 2018, where responsibilities included EMC Supervisor and Laboratory Management, Sub-Project Leader for Embedded Hardware and Software, and R&D Engineer in Motor Control for household appliances. Stefan holds a Dipl.-Ing. (FH) degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Communication Technology from Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, attained between 2004 and 2008, and also attended Leipzig University from 2001 to 2004.
