Tim Kitagawa

Tim Kitagawa, P.Eng., has over three decades of experience in engineering and client support across various technology companies. Currently serving as Embedded Solutions Engineering (FAE) Manager at Microchip Technology Inc. since July 2016, Kitagawa focuses on pre-sales, client support, and training in Canada. Prior to this role, Kitagawa held the position of Senior Field Applications Engineer at Atmel Corporation for nearly two decades, also specializing in pre-sales and client support. Earlier career experience includes Senior Hardware Engineer at DY 4 Systems Ltd., where hardware design engineering for ASIC and FPGA was a key responsibility, and Systems Engineer at Atlantis Aerospace, handling electronics design and system integration for unmanned vehicle avionics. Kitagawa earned a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo in 1987.
