Erwan Moréac

Embedded Software Engineer at MicroEJ

Erwan Moréac has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In 2013, they worked as a Master 1 intern at CRF Kerpape, where they focused on studying and implementing a brain-computer interface for communication assistance. Erwan developed a graphical interface in Java to connect a brain helmet with Sibylle, a communication aid software.

From February to June 2014, Erwan completed their end-of-study internship at Groupama Sailing Team, where they developed software for performance analysis in competitive sailing. Erwan also designed an autonomous and wireless anemometer-wind vane from specification to realization.

From October 2014 to October 2017, Erwan worked as a Doctoral candidate at the Université de Bretagne-Sud. Their research focused on optimizing energy consumption and latency in on-chip networks. Erwan conducted an extensive literature review on energy modeling in NoCs (Networks on Chips) and developed a Cycle-level Bit-level NoC simulator. Erwan also gained teaching experience and published scientific articles during their time at the university.

Starting in November 2017, Erwan joined the CNRS - Centre national de la recherche scientifique as a Research Engineer for the HPeC project. Their responsibilities included developing the drone's main program, creating a simulation environment for flying drones, setting up Hardware In the Loop (HIL) tests, and conducting experiments on real prototypes. Erwan acquired technical skills in embedded Linux, SoC configuration, ROS/Gazebo/ArduPilot programming, and C/C++ object-oriented programming. Erwan also contributed to project management and scientific communication.

In January 2020, Erwan began working at SATT Ouest Valorisation as a Research and Development Engineer. Erwan focused on designing and optimizing a capacitive sensor network for precise object positioning. Their tasks included developing a data logger for sensor analysis using Python, optimizing electrode shapes to enhance precision and reliability, controlling the sensor network with an ESP32 microcontroller, and maximizing the embedded code's performance in terms of measurement frequency and accuracy.

Since December 2020, Erwan has been employed as an Embedded Software Engineer at MicroEJ. Additional details about their role are not provided. Overall, Erwan Moréac's work experience showcases their expertise in embedded systems, software development, research, and project management within academic, industrial, and research environments.

Erwan Moréac pursued their education in the field of electronics and computer science. Erwan began their studies at the University of South Brittany in 2012, where they earned a Master's degree in Industrial Electronics and Computer Science Systems (Master pro GEII) in 2014. Following this, they continued their academic journey at the same institution and obtained a Doctorate degree in Electronics and Computer Science (Doctorat) in 2017. Erwan Moréac's focus and expertise lie in embedded systems.
