Jerome Leroux is the current Chief Technical Officer and Vice President of Research & Development at MicroEJ. Jerome has been with the company since January of 2017, but they have been in the software engineering industry for over 15 years. Prior to their current position, Jerome served as a Principal Software Engineer and Virtual Execution Environment Technical Lead with MicroEJ. In this role, they were responsible for developing core technologies such as the Java virtual machine, garbage collector, RTOS, and simulator. Jerome also managed both R&D and customer projects, as well as overseeing MicroEJ VEE design and development. Jerome’s experience in embedded systems development dates back to their time as a Software Engineer with MicroEJ from 2005-2009. Throughout their career, Jerome has proven himself as a technical leader and expert in software engineering, making him the perfect fit for their current role at MicroEJ.
Jerome Leroux studied software architecture at Université de Nantes, where they earned a professional master's degree (M2). Jerome also holds a DUT in IT and computer science from IUT de Nantes.
