Scott Ayers

Director Of Product Development at MicroFab

Scott Ayers has a strong background in engineering and product development. Scott began their career at Texas Instruments as an Engineering Manager, where they oversaw the design and field support of semiconductor processing systems. Scott also played a key role in the development of the Digital Light Processing technology.

In 1993, Ayers joined MicroFab Technologies as the Director of Product Development. In this role, they provided leadership in various development activities, including design, scheduling, manufacturing, and inventory management. Scott successfully generated over $30M in revenue by delivering innovative machines and subsystems, such as a vapor calibration system, a deep UV generation subsystem, and a system for coating stents with drugs. During their tenure, they also led the safety approval effort for a custom-designed waveform generator and developed an Access-based MRP supplement to improve company operations.

Scott Ayers has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Additionally, they hold a Master of Business Administration degree from Southern Methodist University and a Master of Engineering degree from The University of Texas at Arlington. Scott also has a certification as a Professional Engineer in the State of Texas, obtained from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers.
