James Davies

VP of Product Development at MicrofluidX

James Davies has a diverse and extensive work experience in various engineering roles. James started their career at Jaguar in 1998 as a Graduate Engineer, where they gained hands-on manufacturing experience and an understanding of product development. James later became a Senior Design Engineer at Jaguar, involved in designing cylinder blocks for next-generation V8 engines and leading the creation of a generic quality system. James also served as a Resident Powertrain Engineer in New York, resolving powertrain issues and providing engineering support to dealerships and market managers.

In 2004, Davies joined DCA Design International as a Senior Engineer, responsible for designing patented cooling technologies and developing medical products. James later became a Senior Associate, leading the design and development of high-value consumer products and improving the robustness of drug delivery devices. At Cambridge Design Partnership, Davies worked as a Senior Consultant Mechanical Engineer from 2013 to 2021.

Currently, Davies holds multiple roles at MicrofluidX, including VP of Product Development and VP of Product Engineering. In these positions, they lead product development and engineering initiatives for the company. Overall, James Davies has a wealth of experience in product development, engineering, and project management across various industries.

James Davies attended the University of Bristol from 1994 to 1998, where they obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering. In October 2003, they also obtained the certification of Chartered Engineer from The Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
