Michael Layng

Michael Layng is the Global Head of Project Delivery and Chief Operations Officer at Micromine, where responsibilities include managing a globally distributed team that provides deployment, technical support, and post-sales service for MICROMINE's products in the resources sector. With a strong background in mine control solutions, Michael has held various positions at Micromine, including Operations Manager and Development Team Leader for the PITRAM solution, focusing on technical direction and product development. Michael's career began as a Software Engineer at Micromine, where work involved transitioning products from DOS to Windows, and earlier served as a Contract Software Engineer at Westralian Sands Limited. Academic qualifications include an MBT from the University of New South Wales and a BSc (Honors) in Computer Science from Edith Cowan University.
