Alexander Volkov

Alexander Volkov is an accomplished materials scientist and chemical engineer with a PhD in Organic Chemistry and Materials Science from Iowa State University. They have extensive experience in designing novel materials, particularly crystalline porous organic polymers for catalysis, and have authored first-author publications in high-impact journals. Alexander has held positions at Micron Technology as a Senior Engineer and Wet Process Engineer, as well as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Ames National Laboratory. Their dedication to collaboration and education is evident from their role as head teaching assistant, managing a large team and improving student engagement. Previously, they volunteered at Mayo Clinic and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a BA in Chemistry from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota and Knox College, respectively.
