Dave Westergard

Dave Westergard is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in patent litigation and licensing. Currently serving as Senior Director of Licensing & Litigation at Micron Technology since March 1995, Westergard has held multiple leadership roles within the company, including Director of Patent Licensing & European Litigation and Chief Counsel for Patent Litigation & Licensing. Previously, Westergard contributed to the United States Patent and Trademark Office as a member of its Patent Public Advisory Committee from 2006 to 2009, having been appointed by Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez. Earlier in career, Westergard practiced at Arnold White & Durkee, representing notable clients in high-profile patent cases, and served as a law clerk for the Honorable Randall R. Rader at the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Westergard holds a JD from BYU Law School and a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Brigham Young University.
