Mark Ish is an SSD Technologist at Micron Technology with over thirty-two years of experience in the computer industry, including twenty-one years leading start-ups. Mark began their career in the oilfield industry with Unix kernel development and transitioned into software and hardware for military and telecommunications applications. They have contributed significantly to the storage industry, developing RAID systems and leading innovations in FLASH technology, holding a total of eighteen granted patents with several others pending. Mark earned a B.A. and M.E.E. in Computer Science, Mathematical Science, and Electrical Engineering from Rice University and has been instrumental in architectural vision for PCI-E FLASH products at Seagate Technologies.
