Sam Ireland is currently a DMTS at Micron Technology. Previously, they owned and operated the Surface Analysis Laboratory and served as President from 1986 to 1989. Sam worked as a Surface Science Analyst at both the Solar Energy Research Institute and Hughes Research Laboratories, focusing on Auger Electron Spectroscopy and X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy. Sam earned a Master’s degree in Solid State Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder, with a thesis on XPS analysis of AlGaAs.
