Sherman Tan

Sherman Tan is a Senior Engineer at Micron Technology since June 2021, specializing in 3D NAND CMOS development and holding a US patent for inter-layer vias manufacturing techniques. Previously, Sherman worked at GLOBALFOUNDRIES from December 2018 to June 2021, earning the GlobalFoundries Individual Excellence CEO Award for process optimization in 65 nm RFSOI technology for 5G applications. Sherman's early career included a role as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the National University of Singapore, where exceptional tutoring resulted in a high student satisfaction rating, and a Research Assistant position at A*STAR, focusing on combinatorial chemistry and biomass conversion. Sherman holds a PhD in Advanced 2D Materials from NUS Graduate School for Integrative Sciences and Engineering and a First Class BSc. (Hons) in Chemistry from the National University of Singapore.
