Sunil Gopakumar

Sunil Gopakumar is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in hardware systems and engineering management. Currently serving as the Director of Hardware Systems Engineering at Micron Technology since March 2022, Sunil leads a multidisciplinary team of over 150 engineers globally, focusing on hardware and mechanical engineering for advanced products such as DIMM and CXL. Prior to this role, Sunil held various leadership positions at Collins Aerospace, where responsibilities included overseeing cabin systems product development and leading avionics systems safety. Sunil also has experience with hardware design and engineering in previous roles at companies such as Komatsu America Corp, UTC Aerospace Systems, and HCL Technologies. Sunil holds an MBA from the University of Iowa and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Anna University Chennai.
