Bruce McLavy

Bruce McLavy has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Bruce began their career in 2007 as a Quality Assurance Tester at Electronic Arts, where they were responsible for finding and reporting software bugs. Bruce then worked as a Techbyte Mentor at Simon Fraser University, presenting best practice techniques for various applications and working closely with students. Bruce returned to Electronic Arts as a Mastering Lab Technician, where they reviewed project submissions and coordinated with other studios. In 2011, they joined Bioware as a QA Tester, focusing on the integration of Kinect functionality and facilitating the Mass Effect multiplayer room. Bruce later transitioned to the role of Web Tester at Bioware in 2014, providing hands-on testing on web apps and writing automation scripts. In 2013, they founded FutureArts Inc., where they served as the Founder and Head Flunky until 2015. Bruce's most recent position is as a Software Developer at Microquest Inc., which began in 2015.

Bruce McLavy completed their education in a variety of fields. From 2006 to 2010, they attended Simon Fraser University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Interactive Arts and Technology, specializing in Game Design and Interaction Design. Prior to that, between 2002 and 2005, Bruce studied at the University of Manitoba, focusing on Sociology and Psychology. Additionally, in 2000 and 2001, they attended the Applied Multimedia Training Centre, where they earned a degree in Multimedia Design and Communication, specializing in Graphic and Web Design.
