Ali B. is a Principal Performance Architect at Microsoft, where they focus on AI accelerators in the Azure Hardware Systems & Infrastructure group. They previously held roles as a Consultant Researcher and Senior Hardware Design Engineer at Microsoft, where they contributed significantly to the development of cycle-level simulators and a full-system simulation framework for Explicit Data Graph Execution (EDGE). Ali earned their PhD in Computer Architecture from The University of British Columbia and holds a Master of Science from Sharif University of Technology, as well as a Bachelor of Applied Science from Shahid Beheshti University.
