Asha Binbek

Asha Binbek is a seasoned communications and policy professional with experience in media relations, sustainability, and civic engagement. Asha served as a Media Planning Intern at RPM Advertising, where B2B and B2C media plans were developed and evaluated using various media platforms. At the City of Chicago, Asha worked as Deputy Press Secretary, overseeing communications for multiple city departments and managing press activities for Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot. As a City Policy & Communications Strategist with the Natural Resources Defense Council, Asha developed resources and analyzed legislation to support city-level climate action initiatives. Asha's role as Government Affairs Manager at Microsoft involves managing external engagements and overseeing AI program communication strategies. Asha holds a Master's degree in Public Policy from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago.
