Ben Finney

Ben Finney is a highly accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in hardware and mechanical engineering, particularly with Microsoft, where Ben has held several senior leadership positions since January 2013. As the Sr. Director of Hardware Engineering for the Surface product line, Ben led the successful launch of the Surface Duo 2, recognized as the most complex Surface product ever shipped. Previously, Ben managed multiple engineering teams at Microsoft, contributing to significant advancements in the design and development of Surface devices and Xbox controllers. Prior roles include managerial positions at Research In Motion, where Ben played a key role in architecting BlackBerry smartphones, and business development at Chungnam, CN-Innovations, focusing on North American accounts. Ben's career began at Motorola as a Mechanical Engineer, where foundational skills in product design were developed. Ben holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree from the University of Michigan, earned in 1996.
