Benjamin Skoch

Benjamin Skoch is the Director of Communications in the Office of the CTO at Microsoft, where they continue to leverage over two decades of experience in strategic communications, storytelling, and public relations. Previously, Benjamin served as an Account Director at WE Communications from 2006 to 2019, providing strategic counsel to various Microsoft executive offices and crafting influential narratives featured in major media outlets. Prior to that, they worked as a Speechwriter/Communications Officer for the Cook County Assessor from 2003 to 2006, where they developed key communications materials and managed press relations. Benjamin began their career as an Assistant to the Director of Communications at Luaka Bop in 2000, supporting various marketing and public relations initiatives. They earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Rochester, attending from 1998 to 2002.
