Bruce Wittmann

Bruce Wittmann is a Senior Applied Scientist at Microsoft, specializing in machine learning-assisted directed evolution. Previously, they served as a Research Associate at Intrexon Corporation, where they significantly enhanced the division's next-generation sequencing capabilities and led successful vector construction operations. Bruce earned a PhD in Bioengineering from Caltech, where they founded a machine learning subgroup and developed innovative approaches to protein engineering. They also hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry/Biochemistry from Washington University in St. Louis, graduating with honors.
