Cliff Allen

Cliff Allen is a Senior Attorney at Microsoft, specializing in open source policy and processes since 2009. Prior to joining Microsoft, Cliff served as a Senior Associate at Donahue Gallagher Woods LLP from 1988 to 1999, providing legal support to major corporations in various sectors, and was an Assistant General Counsel at Sun Microsystems from 1999 to 2009, where they led open source initiatives. Cliff began their legal career as an Associate at Crosby Heafey Roach & May from 1986 to 1987. They hold a J.D. from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco, and a Magna Cum Laude B.A. in Philosophy from the University of California, Berkeley.
