Dana Kaban

Dana Kaban is a Senior Software Engineer and Data Scientist in Azure Storage on the Big Data team, focusing on the design of MLOps foundations and the integration of machine learning models to optimize cloud storage performance. Previously, Dana served as a Software Engineer II at Microsoft, where they contributed to the development of ADLS Gen 2 and designed distributed caching solutions. Dana also worked as a Tail Latency Researcher at the University of Washington, where they measured and analyzed tail latency in distributed systems. They co-founded DURenaissance Inc, leading the operation of retail stores and managing back-office tasks. Dana holds a Master of Information and Data Science from UC Berkeley and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Washington.
