Dongwook Lee is currently a Principal Hardware Engineer at Microsoft, focusing on FPGA acceleration for Microsoft Azure Networking. Previously, they held multiple intern positions at companies such as Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology and Intel Labs, where they contributed to processor design and high-level power estimation. Dongwook also worked at IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center on high-level synthesis and developed a source-to-source translator for the Xeon+FPGA platform at Intel Strategic CAD Labs. They earned a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, along with a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Seoul National University.
