Geoff McDonald

Geoff McDonald is a Principal Research Manager at Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, where they lead a team of data scientists and cybersecurity experts in developing advanced protection solutions. Previously, they served as a Senior Security Researcher at Microsoft, focusing on machine learning models and threat research, and worked as a Threat Analyst at Symantec, specializing in reverse engineering malware. Geoff began their career with a Process Engineering Internship at ABB Semiconductors in Switzerland and holds a BSc and MSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and the University of Alberta, respectively.
