James Hwang

James Hwang is a Senior Product Designer at Microsoft, focusing on end user identity, security, and networking scenarios in both consumer and enterprise domains. They currently serve as the User Experience Working Group Co-Chair at the FIDO Alliance, a position they have held since 2024. James previously held various roles at Microsoft, including Senior UX Designer, where they defined password-less experiences and set standards for future authentication methods. They earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Centered Design and Engineering with a specialization in HCI from the University of Washington in 2014.
