Jan Hermann

Jan Hermann is a computational chemist and physicist, currently serving as a Principal Research Manager in AI for Science at Microsoft, where they drive and coordinate research projects that intersect quantum chemistry and machine learning. Previously, Jan held roles as a Junior Research Group Leader and Postdoctoral Researcher at Freie Universität Berlin and contributed to significant research on deep learning applications in quantum Monte Carlo. Their early academic experience includes a Graduate Research Assistant position at Fritz-Haber-Institut der Max-Planck-Gesellschaft and a Postdoctoral Researcher role at the University of Luxembourg.
