Janu Verma

Janu Verma is a Principal Applied Scientist at Microsoft, leading efforts in neural recommendation models with a focus on contextual content recommendations for Office365. With over 10 years of experience in machine learning, Janu has managed teams of researchers, ML engineers, and data scientists, overseeing projects in recommendation systems, fraud detection, and natural language processing. They previously held positions at Cure.Fit, IBM, and Mastercard, where they contributed to the development of scalable machine learning products and published extensively in prestigious venues. Janu holds a Master of Science in Mathematics from Kansas State University and also completed a master's program at the University of Cambridge.
