Jillian Clements

Jillian Clements is a Principal Applied Scientist at Microsoft, where they previously served as a Senior Applied AI Engineer from 2020 to 2023. Before joining Microsoft, they held the position of Senior Manager in Machine Learning Research at American Express and worked as a Visiting Researcher at the IFISC Institute for Cross-Disciplinary Physics and Complex Systems in 2016. Jillian's academic journey includes pursuing a PhD and a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Duke University, where they were also a Graduate Student in the Applied Machine Learning Laboratory. They earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University and gained industry experience as a Power and Automation Engineer at ABB and as an Electrical Engineering Co-op at Sony Mobile Communications.
