Joey Limmena, a Senior Product Designer at Microsoft, was born in Indonesia and raised in the Philippines before moving to Canada to study mechatronics engineering at the University of British Columbia. Joey co-founded Gravit8 during a startup competition in 2017 and has since been deeply engaged in design, leading programs and facilitating hackathons. Notably, Joey helped a previous company secure an acquisition for USD$135 million and has contributed to various design publications. In addition to professional pursuits, Joey has explored interests in fashion and videography, continually striving to empower others and innovate.
