Karin Strauss

Karin Strauss is an Innovation Strategist at Microsoft Research, where they lead the DNA data storage project and engage in multidisciplinary research. Previously, Karin served as a Senior Principal Research Manager at Microsoft and has held positions at IBM Research, AMD, and various academic institutions, including the University of Washington, where they are an Affiliate Full Professor. Karin began their research career in computer architecture and has extensive experience in emerging memory technologies and AI. They hold a Master’s degree in Engineering from USP and a Bachelor’s degree in Science from the same institution.
