Kieran McDonald

Kieran McDonald is a Vice President at Microsoft, leading Applied Science and Engineering teams within the Microsoft Search, Assistant, and Intelligence organization. They focus on AI capabilities to enhance Search Relevance, Knowledge, and Recommendations. Kieran has a diverse background in AI leadership, having previously held roles such as Principal Development Manager and Partner Group Engineering Manager, where they contributed to various AI-driven projects including Cortana and Bing. They earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Dublin City University, where they also completed their Bachelor's degree in the same field. Prior to Microsoft, Kieran worked as a postdoctoral researcher and research assistant at Dublin City University.
