Lee Walker is a seasoned security professional with extensive experience in information security and architecture. Currently serving as Principal Security Architect at Microsoft since January 1999, Lee leads the development of identity and access management and security solutions, focusing on next-generation technologies including post-quantum crypto security. Previously, as a Senior Security Architect, Lee managed the security architecture for Microsoft's internal IT systems, and as Manager of the Computer Emergency Response Team, established the organization's first response team for security incidents. Lee's earlier career with the United States Air Force included leadership roles in classified systems security and network intrusion investigations, earning recognition as the 1997 "Outstanding Computer Officer." Lee also holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the United States Air Force Academy.
