Marek Kowalski

Marek Kowalski is a Principal Scientist at Microsoft, focusing on the intersection of Computer Vision and Machine Learning. With over 10 years of experience, they have developed expertise in applying machine learning and computer vision to human face and body interpretation, as well as 3D reconstruction. Marek has authored eight patent applications and numerous publications in leading venues, contributing significantly as both a main contributor and senior author. They previously held positions as a senior scientist and research intern at Microsoft, and served as a computer vision engineer at the Space Research Centre in Poland. Marek completed a PhD in Computer Science with honors from Politechnika Warszawska and has a background in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
