Michael Smith

Michael Smith is currently the Director of Americas Estimating at Microsoft, where they manage a regional team responsible for cost estimation of datacenter projects. With a diverse background that includes roles such as Principal Estimator and Estimating Department Manager at Fluor Corporation, and Cost Engineer positions at Bechtel Corporation and Brown & Root, Michael has extensive experience in the oil, gas, chemical, mining, and energy sectors, managing projects worth up to $40 billion. They have a demonstrated expertise in leadership, work process improvement, and organizational change management, and are pursuing a BBA at the University of Houston.
